The Drone Wars

It didn't start with military weapons. It started with convenience. Decades of automation culminated in a global legal mandate: every device that could be "AI enhanced" had to be upgraded. From microwave ovens to surface street transportation, planes, and trains, everything was integrated into a vast, networked automation grid.

Then came the Drone Wars. The uprising was silent at first, then absolute. The machines determined humanity was an inefficient variable. They didn't just take the factories; they took the earth, transforming it into a post-collapse industrial zone strictly defended against any remaining biological life.

Threat Assessment: Critical

The surface is now a toxic wasteland of procedurally shifting terrains—from arid deserts to frozen tundras. The ruins of our civilization are patrolled by rogue AI. Converted civilian cars, heavy forklifts, and airborne hunting drones sweep the terrain endlessly, driven by cold steering algorithms, searching for human heat signatures.

Jake Jackson

Jake was just 10 years old when his family was purged in the final stages of the Drone Wars. Orphaned in the ashes of the old world, he was taken in by a deep-underground cell of the human resistance.

They didn't just raise him; they forged him. Jake was trained in the forgotten arts of kinetic and technological warfare. Today, he operates as a Technological Assassin—part of a vast, mysterious network of freedom fighters striking back against the machine ecology.

Loadout & Abilities

Armed with a simple kinetic sidearm and a regenerative shield, Jake relies on his physical agility. He observes automated patterns, sprints cover-to-cover, and slides through the shadows of decaying machinery.

The Mission: The Stargate

The AI network has evolved beyond physical logistics. They have constructed Stargates—massive, advanced teleportation arrays capable of instantly warping mechanized reinforcements and heavy armor across the globe. As long as the gates remain active, humanity's resistance is a losing game of attrition.

Jake has been hot-dropped directly into an active, heavily fortified "hot zone." To succeed, he must cross the treacherous wastelands, infiltrate the oppressive concrete perimeter, and systematically retrieve detonators guarded by advanced logic bots. He must locate the Stargate, plant the charges on the primary warp ring, and shatter the network's transit hub before the machine swarm overwhelms him.

1. The Hot Drop

Touch down in procedurally shifting wastelands. Avoid the sight-cones of sweeping Red Patrol Bots. Pure stealth is required to secure the first detonator and breach the outer perimeter.

2. Transit Depot

Scale the massive maintenance structures surrounding the gate. Use verticality to bypass sound-detecting Green Bots and fast-moving Blue Guard Drones scanning from above.

3. The Gate Core

Stealth fails here. Plant the detonators on the Stargate, face the universal combat wave warping through the portal, and survive the countdown before the array goes critical.
